Thought you needed an expensive cable to watch F1 races? Think again. Thanks to F1 TV’s Android and iPhone apps, Formula 1 fans can watch every 2023 Grand Prix on the go.
The official F1 TV service brings you more action, analysis and replays than any other broadcaster. Better yet, you can access all that F1 good in your pocket at all times.
In this guide, we’ll show you what the F1 TV app is, its availability on Android and iPhone apps, and how to live stream F1 races on the service.
What is F1 TV?
F1 TV is the official Formula 1 video streaming service and comes with two subscriptions. With the basic subscription F1 TV Access (opens in new tab)you can watch full race replays, highlights, F1’s historical race archives and more.
The advanced subscription, F1 TV Pro (opens in new tab)has everything from F1 TV Access and even better features like live access to the track sessions for all GPs and raw team radio feeds.
An excellent feature that both plans offer is access to the F1 cameras on board. This allows you to switch between the live feed and one of the cameras installed on the 20 cars. You can switch between cameras even during race replays.
F1 TV is available in over 100 countries, including the US, Argentina, France and South Africa. But some, such as the UK and Australia, do not offer the ‘Pro’ version and thus miss out on live streaming races.
Is F1 TV on Android and iPhone apps?
Good news: F1 TV is indeed available for both Android and iOS apps. That means no matter your device, you can bring the thrills and spills of the Formula 1 season straight to your smartphone or tablet.
There’s also Chromecast support for mobile and tablet apps. Connect your device to the same network as your Chromecast, log into the F1 TV app, pull up the content you want to watch and hit the Cast button.
